Darrel Keith Culpepper Sr., 77, of Laurel passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel. He was born Tuesday, July 9, 1946, in Wayne County.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday followed by the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Burial will follow in Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery in Soso.  

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Butler Culpepper; father George W. Culpepper; mother Effie Mondale Henderson Culpepper; brothers Billy Culpepper and Bobby Culpepper; sisters Hazel Sellers, Connie Farrior and Mary Palmer.

Survivors include his son Keith Culpepper (Tracey); daughter Brooke Todd (Doug); grandchildren Chase Todd, Summer Culpepper, Kiera Carpenter and Kaelyn Lohr; and brother Ronnie Culpepper.

Pallbearers will be Doug Todd, Chase Todd and Jason Todd.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
