Funs up! New indoor theme park set to open soon in Bettendorf

The wait is almost over. Malibu Jack’s, a much-anticipated new indoor theme park, is getting ready to open soon at Duck Creek Plaza in Bettendorf. Our Quad Cities News Michael Frachalla got an exclusive look into the new attraction.

“We have something for every age. That’s kind of what Malibu Jack’s is,” said Malibu Jacks Vice President Steve Hatton. “From the toddlers to grandparents, we want something to do for everybody.”

Hatton also said employees are finishing up last-minute touches and inspections. He said they are doing their due-diligence as they prepare for an opening.

Malibu Jack’s will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, April 5 at 4:30 p.m.

Malibu Jack’s Quad Cities is a family owned and operated indoor theme park that has entertainment for everyone. They have roller coasters, go-karts, golf, bowling, an arcade and more. Their motto is a clean, safe, and fun family atmosphere. Malibu Jack’s will have an event after the ribbon cutting with pizza and free passes to check out the fun.

“We like to think we bring fun to town,” said Hatton. “Everybody likes to have fun. Every age, every person likes to have fun. We try to have something for everybody. Whether you’re doing a birthday party or you just want to go on a date and have a place to go, when you come in, we want it to feel like we built it just for you,” Hatton added.

It features go-karts, a roller coaster, laser tag, mini golf, bowling, arcade games, and a restaurant and bar.

“What really differentiates us is not only the variety of things you can do but the variety of trips you can take,” said Malibu Jack’s Supervisor Mark Ogden. “Either a short trip just for a quick ride on the roller coaster or on the go-karts. You can spend hours and hours with your family and have a great time.”

Employees at Malibu Jack’s say showing off the finished product cannot come soon enough.

“We feel like it works out really well for families to have access to a park like this when they don’t need to drive three or four hours to go to a supersized, large amusement park,” said Ogden. “We’re just excited to get open as quick as we can and welcome the public into the building.”
