On Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:25 a.m., the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check at 2348 County Highway 3, Oquawka, Ill. (15 miles northeast of Burlington, Iowa). Upon arrival, the resident, Michael D. Louck, age 44, was found dead. The death is being investigated by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, along with agents from the Illinois State Police Investigations, Illinois State Police Crime Scene, Henderson County Coroner’s Office and the Oquawka Police Department, according to a Henderson County release Monday.

Descendant of town pioneers turns dilapidated 150-year-old house on Holly Street to original grandeur • The Bynum-Anderson House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on Sept. 15, 2022, recognizing it as the second-oldest surviving house in Ellisville. It is the fourth remaining home and the 11th property overall in Jones County to receive such designation. A historical marker from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History will soon be unveiled at the house to commemorate the honor.

John Adcock John Adcock was born on March 30, 1942, in Laurel to Mary Parks Bullock. He grew up with six siblings, Lurlene, Jim, Evon, Charlie, Sue and Rita.  In 1961, John met the love of his life Mildred Jernigan and after three months they were married on May 20, 1961. They had two sons, Greg on Oct. 9, 1970 and Gabe on Nov. 2, 1973.
