Big Brothers Big Sisters provides professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that help a child who is facing some kind of adversity, overcome obstacles and succeed in life. Our programs work! According to research done locally with more than 300 teachers who are involved in our program, more than 65% of the children in the program improved in their academic performance last year. Our mentoring programs help our youth make better decisions and to stay in school! We help them better understand the connection between education and work, and that making good choices will help them succeed in life.
