South Florida 2014 Great Amazing Race

Modeled off the popular television show “The Amazing Race,” contestants compete in teams of two, faced with challenges at eight different stations during this one-mile event.

Time: Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m.

Cost: $40/two-person team (advance)

Location: Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach

Courage Challenge Mud Run & Obstacle Course Race

Get muddy on this five-mile course, littered with more than 20 obstacles designed to strike fear into the hearts of participants. Part of the proceeds support the Hibiscus Children’s Center and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Time: Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at 9 a.m.

Cost: $145 to $155

Location: Halpatiokee Preserve in Stuart

The Color Run

In the “happiest 5K on the planet,” runners begin all clean in pristine, white clothes at the start and are doused in a rainbow of colors at each kilometer marker along the way. Celebrate with music, dancing and more color throws after the finish line.
